Clinical Supervision

LPCA Supervision

Clinicians with their LPCA (Licensed Professional Counselor Associate) are required by the Kentucky Board of Professional Counselors to receive ongoing, weekly supervision in order to apply for their LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor) for autonomous functioning. In order to provide supervision, a clinician must have at least 2 years of independent practice, in addition to a 15-hour supervision course.

We are able to provide this service for you for a fee. However, because this is an important working relationship, we provide a free 1-hour meeting to determine goodness of fit prior to signing any supervisory agreements.

If interested in starting supervision, please contact our office for further information.

For additional information from the board, check out their page:

Play Therapy Supervision

Clinicians who are working towards obtaining the Registered Play Therapist (RPT) credential must have 35 supervision hours and 350 face-to-face play therapy hours. Supervision must be provided by a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor and in accordance with the new tiered system.

If you are interested in learning more about becoming an RPT, see https://www.a4pt.org/page/CredentialsHomepage for more information.

If you are trying to determine if play therapy is right for you, we are more than happy to provide a free consultation to further discuss.

Please contact our office if you are interested in learning more.

You can also join the Association for Play Therapy (APT)- this is a national association, so you will also automatically become a member of the Kentucky Association for Play Therapy (KAPT) when you join.

You can also follow both the APT and KAPT on Facebook for articles, trainings, etc.
